Terms of Service
Last updated September 10, 2026. These terms apply to the Veilo beta desktop app and website.
Beta service
- Veilo is a beta product for meeting assistance, live context, transcription, summaries, notes, and AI responses.
- Beta features may change, break, be limited, or be removed without notice.
- We may apply testing limits to meetings, assistant messages, uploads, transcription, and other usage while the product is in beta.
License
- Veilo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the desktop app and website solely for your own personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these terms.
- You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or commercially exploit the service or any part of it.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
Your responsibilities
- Use Veilo only for lawful meetings, calls, demos, research calls, and workflows.
- You are responsible for getting consent from participants when laws, company policies, platform rules, or call etiquette require disclosure or permission.
- Veilo may provide controls intended to keep its interface out of supported screen-sharing captures. Availability and behavior can vary by operating system, meeting platform, capture method, and app version. Check what is visible before sharing your screen. This does not remove or reduce any disclosure, notice, or consent obligation.
- Do not use Veilo to secretly record where that is illegal, violate privacy rights, collect sensitive data without authorization, impersonate others, or bypass platform restrictions.
- You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated answers, summaries, notes, and suggested language before relying on them.
AI output
- AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or inappropriate for your situation.
- Veilo does not provide legal, financial, medical, hiring, compliance, or professional advice.
- You remain responsible for decisions, messages, sales claims, commitments, and actions taken using Veilo output.
Data and permissions
- By starting a meeting, you allow Veilo to process meeting audio and related content to provide transcription, summaries, and assistant features.
- If you enable Read screen, you allow Veilo to capture and process screenshots for assistant context.
- If you connect a calendar integration, you allow Veilo to read calendar status and event data needed to show meetings in the app.
- Veilo uses encrypted network connections and provider-managed encryption at rest, but the service is not end-to-end encrypted. Veilo and its transcription, AI, infrastructure, or integration providers must be able to process the content required for features you enable.
- Details about storage, local device data, service providers, security measures, retention, and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
- Your use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
Accounts and access
- You may need an account to use synced meetings, assistant history, calendar connection, and account-only features.
- Keep your account secure and do not share access in a way that violates these terms.
- We may suspend or limit access if we detect abuse, security risk, unlawful use, or usage that harms the service.
No subscriptions yet
- Veilo is currently offered as a beta without paid subscriptions on this website.
- Pricing, plans, trial rules, and usage limits may change before public launch.
Third-party services
- Veilo may rely on service providers for core product features, infrastructure, integrations, and diagnostics.
- Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
- Veilo is not responsible for third-party meeting platforms, app stores, operating systems, or services you use alongside Veilo.
Disclaimers
- The beta is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect transcription, perfect speaker labeling, meeting platform compatibility, or error-free AI responses.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veilo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages.
Changes
- We may update these terms as Veilo changes.
- If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the website, app, or account email.
- Continuing to use Veilo after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Intellectual property
- The Veilo service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by Veilo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- These terms do not grant you any rights to Veilo's trademarks, logos, or brand features.
- Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit may be used by Veilo without obligation or compensation to you.
Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veilo and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
